I have not posted in a while due to a holiday in Asia, Thailand and Laos specifically. Dating in Asia is a very different scene then in most Western countries. It was unbelievably easy.
I am no expert on the social and economic situation as I was just a tourist. People talk a considerable amount about the sex worker scene etc. in Thailand, however I was not there for that and I am unwilling to directly pay for sex. We all indirectly pay most of the time, in one way or another. Marriage has been compared to legalized and institutionalized prostitution. I don’t specifically agree with this comment but I do understand how some people come to that conclusion. However most of the time to use generalities the man pays for the drinks, the meals, the gifts, etc. It was no different in Bangkok except it was an amazing amount cheaper. A cocktail in a nice club was about 5 dollars. In a roadside dive you can have a beer for a $1.50.

It seems the longer I write this blog the more I realize that we sometimes need to go right back to basics. I am at fault in the area that I tend to expect people to know what I already do and sometimes do not do a good job as a teacher. Why learn to pick up women?
A little while back I was giving a talk to a group of men who had been mostly unsuccessful with women. They were all there to learn how to meet, pick up, and have sex with multiple women and on a regular basis. It is actually not that difficult to learn and I would say most guys short of The Hunchback of Notre Dame can, with some work and conscious effort, get there in a matter of a couple months. I have put the majority of the information you need to achieve success with women on this site already and I will continue adding to it.
The one question that I was asked was “Why do I do this?” I knew the answer immediately, however I wanted to prolong it for a few minutes to make a larger impact. So I asked the audience, “why are you here?” As usual with a group of people that are somewhat self-conscious with lower self-esteem no one wanted to answer, no one wanted to stand out from the crowd. This is the exact reason they have not been successful with women and social interaction in the first place.
How to Read Body Language – Part 1
One of the most important things in communication is non-verbal communication. I believe that more then 70% of communication is non-verbal and also the most important part of a conversation is shown not spoken. If you want to be good with women you will need to study and pay attention to how to body language, yours as much as hers.
We are always reading body language constantly and we react to it without consciously realizing it. It effects how we feel and think about a conversation, how we respond and what we say. If there is one thing that can improve your success in social settings more then anything else a good study and understanding of body language is the key. Warning here though, you have to actually pay attention, not only to her body language but also to your own.
One of the absolute experts on how to read body language is Joe Navarro who took things to a whole new level as a trainer for the FBI. If they believe it is important for human interaction, shouldn’t you?
How to dress for a date
Well this one can be a bit tricky depending on where you are going, but as I always say dress at least one or two steps above everyone else in the room. With in reason there is no such thing as ‘over dresses’, when you are the best dressed guy in the room it helps you self confidence, you feel good knowing you look good. This article could be titled, ‘How to dress for a date and life to be successful’.
This does not mean you have to spend a pile of money on Italian suits, actually I have been out with other guys who are wearing $5,000 dollar off the shelf suits and I am wearing a $400 tailor made suit, you know who looked better? If you have a few extra dollars find a tailor, get your shirts and a suit or two made. It is an investment in yourself and well worth it. A good tailor can take 20 pounds off you by making cloths that fit you right. Properly tailored shirts will make you look slimmer or bulkier depending on what you need. Basically a good tailor is worth his weight in gold.
Approach Anxiety – Get off your ass and talk to her
In the late 90’s I was out with a friend to a club in town, it was a happening place for a small logging town on the west coast of Canada. At the time I was happily single and always up for meeting new women. I didn’t want a relationship that lasted more then a couple of dates; I was enjoying myself to much. Quite often I would go out alone, however this time I went with Derik, Derik worked with me and really would have been a good catch for a local girl. We both worked in the mines making very good money, especially for single guys.
We had the cars, we both owned our own house, it was a good life. Most people we worked with were married and had children. Where I was happy to be a player Derik wanted nothing more then a full time girlfriend and hopefully a future wife. He was several year older then me and had gotten married, and subsequently divorced at a young age.
One major issue with Derik is he had sever approach anxiety, he couldn’t bring himself to speak with a women he didn’t know, he would instead cover it up by saying ‘I’m relaxing tonight, if the girl is interested she will come to me’. Well if you have read anything on my blog you should understand by now that, that is never going to happen. Ok, I shouldn’t say never, 1 in 5,000 maybe. So if you play thoughts odds and you go out every Saturday and Sunday night from the time you are 15 until 70 it should happen once that the woman will approach you out of the blue, take you home and shag you rotten.
